The Organ Donation Warriors Project, a pioneering national initiative conceived by Rotarian Lal Goel, Founder & Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Chairman of the Organ Donation India Foundation & GYAN, was formally inaugurated by RID 3141 District Governor Rtn Rajan Dua during an online ceremony attended by Rotarians, healthcare professionals, media representatives, and organ donation advocates from across the country.Introducing the project, Rotarian Lal Goel highlighted the urgent need for a nationwide movement to create greater awareness about organ donation. “India has made remarkable progress in organ transplantation. Yet, lakhs of patients continue to wait for a life-saving organ transplant, and many lose their lives simply because an organ does not become available in time. The greatest challenge today is not medical science—it is lack of awareness. The Organ Donation Warriors Project has been created to bridge this gap by empowering thousands of informed and committed volunteers to spread awareness in every corner of the country,” he said.He further explained that the programme is completely free of cost and is designed to develop thousands of Organ Donation Warriors across India through structured online training, enabling them to become ambassadors for organ, tissue, and body donation awareness.NV Paulose, Chairman of Global TV, spoke on the vital role of the media in the success of the initiative.
