Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao asked party leaders, workers, and elected representatives to focus on the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process undertaken by the Election Commission of India in Telangana.Addressing a state-level workshop on SIR phase-2 held here on Saturday, Ramchander Rao directed party cadres to accelerate the registration of new votes with the help of Form-6 for every eligible individual in each constituency, as only two days remain (until Aug 10) before the SIR process concludes.He said reviewing draft notifications, identifying fake votes, and filing objections will follow in the coming days.The BJP state chief advised booth-level agents-1 (BLA-1) and legal teams to remain constantly vigilant regarding the proper filing of Form-7 (deletion of votes) and Form-8 (corrections), legally responding to notices with appropriate evidence, and thoroughly examining the polling booth rationalisation process.He emphasised that transparency in the voters’ list is paramount to safeguarding democracy, and urged BJP representatives to carry out this responsibility effectively.
