Pune: The National Security Guard (NSG) on Wednesday evening conducted a five-hour mock drill at a prominent software company in Hinjewadi.Around 100 NSG commandos, personnel from the Pimpri Chinchwad police, the Hinjewadi fire brigade, Force One and 17 US commandos participated in the exercise.A Pimpri Chinchwad police officer said the mock drill was conducted to test coordination among various security agencies in responding to a terror attack.“The NSG commandos landed on one of the IT company’s towers in Hinjewadi from an Army helicopter at 4pm on Wednesday. The mock drill concluded around 9pm,” the officer said.He said the exercise was organised to train security personnel in responding to a terror attack by identifying first responders, cordoning off the area, managing traffic and deploying the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad during such an incident.
