Lucknow: The National Stock Exchange (NSE), under the aegis of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), organised a financial literacy and cyber fraud awareness programme at the UP cyber headquarters on Wednesday to strengthen awareness against cyber-enabled financial crimes and promote safe digital transactions.Officials said the initiative was held in line with chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of a ‘Cyber-secure and financially aware Uttar Pradesh’ and the directions of director general of police Rajeev Krishna and supervised by UP’s director general, cybercrime.The keynote address was delivered by Mridul Rastogi, deputy general manager, SEBI, who highlighted the growing importance of financial literacy and cybersecurity in the digital era. He spoke about the increasing sophistication of cyber-enabled financial frauds, the common tactics adopted by fraudsters, and the preventive measures that individuals should follow to safeguard themselves against online scams.The programme was coordinated by CS Shruti Sharma, in charge of NSE’s UP regulatory department.The event witnessed participation from officers and personnel of the UP cyber headquarters, cyber police stations and cyber cells.
