Ahmedabad: AMC’s estate department (North-West Zone) on Wednesday sealed 11 construction sites located in the western part of the city for not installing green nets. The sites include Kaliram Hostel and Eklavya School in Chandlodia besides The Signature, Akshar Evira, Nityam Glory and Soundarya Alina in Gota. In Thaltej, sites Kala Montana, Sun Setu Sky, Aditya Two and Sola Sparsh were sealed apart from the Dev X site in Bodakdev.A 2023 circular by AMC’s town development department makes installing green nets at construction sites mandatory to reduce pollution.A gas godown in Chandlodia’s Chamundanagar area was sealed for operating without a permit. In Bharwad Vas of Bodakdev ward, an illegal shed-type construction built in the margin space along a 12m-wide road was demolished. The construction site of Atithi Gokul project in Gota ward did not have green nets and the construction activity had encroached the road. It was fined Rs 25,000 for damaging the footpath.
