Shimla: Amid speculation over a cabinet expansion in Himachal Pradesh, Congress state in charge Rajani Patil on Saturday said chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had not yet submitted any proposal on the issue.She said the party would take further action only after receiving a formal proposal from the CM.Addressing a news conference at Rajiv Bhawan, the Congress headquarters, after two days of organisational meetings, Patil also warned party leaders against indiscipline and factionalism.She said nearly 99% of district Congress presidents had complained that block presidents were not listening to them. Patil warned that disciplinary action would be taken against those indulging in such conduct.The Congress functionary also advised revenue minister Jagat Singh Negi to refrain from making statements that could create differences within the organisation.Patil said some differences were natural in a “family”, but maintained that there was no conflict between govt and the party organisation.On the 2027 assembly elections, she said the Congress had already begun preparations and would soon launch its strategy. Patil said alleged paper leaks would be a major issue, claiming they had pushed several youths towards suicide.The state Congress in charge also launched a sharp attack on the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging bias. She questioned the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs).She said the Congress would demand that future elections not be conducted through EVMs. Patil further alleged “vote theft” in the last elections in Haryana and Maharashtra.She said the Congress would stage protests at all district headquarters in Himachal Pradesh on Monday against electoral irregularities.
