Ahmedabad: Mayank Bhavsar, a product design student at the National Institute of Design (NID), developed Sahaj, a multisensory interaction system for children with disabilities. “Sahaj brings together a series of tactile, physical, and acoustic interactions to help children with visual impairments navigate the space around a swing and engage with it more independently,” according to a release by NID on Monday. “A mechanical sound-based mechanism communicates swing movement, while the overall design considers how children discover, approach, orient themselves around, and use the equipment,” it added.
