Silchar: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has completed restoration work on Lines 2 and 3 at New Harangajao station in Assam’s Dima Hasao district after track settlement disrupted train movement along the hill section connecting the Barak Valley and adjoining states with the rest of the countryWith the restoration of the two lines, train operations through New Harangajao are being progressively normalised, railway officials said on Thursday. Trains are being operated on Lines 2 and 3 with enhanced safety measures.Restoration work on Line 1 is still under way and is being carried out on a priority basis, NFR said.The track settlement at New Harangajao had affected rail movement along the crucial hill section, prompting the railway authorities to undertake restoration work and regulate several services.
