NE shines in CISCEs; Assam, Manipur & Nagaland record 100% pass rate in ISC

Guwahati: Assam, Manipur and Nagaland recorded a 100% pass rate in the ISC (Class XII examinations) conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.Nagaland also secured a 100% pass rate in the ICSE (Class X exams), results of which were declared on Thursday. Assam and Meghalaya posted nearly 99.5% success in ICSE. In most northeastern states, girls outperformed boys.In Assam, 219 students from four schools appeared for ISC and all passed. In ICSE, 504 students from seven schools appeared. Girls achieved a 100% pass rate, while boys recorded 98.88% in ICSE.In Nagaland, 34 students from one school appeared for ISC and 135 students from four schools appeared for ICSE. Boys and girls achieved a 100% pass rate in both exams.In Manipur, one school each appeared for ICSE and ISC. In ICSE, 28 students appeared and the pass rate was 96.43%. In ISC, 35 students appeared and all passed. In ICSE, girls recorded 100% success, while boys secured 94.74%.In Meghalaya, 594 students from eight schools appeared for ICSE and 99.49% passed. In ISC, 222 students appeared from five schools and 98.65% qualified. In ICSE, girls recorded 100% success compared to 98.73% for boys. In ISC, girls achieved 99.4%, while boys recorded 96.36%.In Arunachal Pradesh, 870 students from 20 schools appeared for ICSE and the pass rate was 97.59%. In ISC, 90 students from two schools appeared and 98.89% passed. Girls have done better than boys and their qualified percentage is: 98.47%, while Boys have achieved a qualified percentage of 96.87% in ICSE. In ISC, girls have achieved a 100% success rate, while boys have achieved a qualified percentage of 97.96%.In Tripura, 569 students from two schools appeared for ISC and 97.19% passed. In ICSE, 541 students from four schools appeared and the pass rate was 96.49%. In ICSE, boys performed better with 97.67%, while girls recorded 95.02%. In ISC, girls did better with 98.29%, compared to 96.03% for boys.The board currently has no school in Mizoram.
