Varanasi: On the fifth day of the 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-281) organised by 91 UP Battalion NCC Mughalsarai, various military and personality development activities were conducted for cadets on Wednesday.The camp featured morning drill, class firing competition and various training sessions.During the training, cadets were given technical knowledge of map reading, inspirational accounts of brave warriors, traffic control, career guidance, and the assembly and disassembly of .22 point rifles.Camp admin officer, colonel S. Poonia, said that special emphasis is being placed on developing leadership skills, discipline and fitness among cadets at the camp. He said that the objective of NCC is to make youth responsible, strong and developed citizens.SI traffic of Traffic Police Varanasi also made cadets aware of traffic rules and road safety.Meanwhile, cadets and PI staff of 91 UP Battalion participated enthusiastically in the blood donation programme. Special emphasis is being placed at the camp on developing patriotism, leadership ability and self-confidence among youth.The training camp will run till May 24.
