Guwahati: Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency is set for polling for the by-election on Tuesday, with the chief electoral officer assuring that both Nagaon and Morigaon district administrations are fully prepared to ensure completely transparent, fair and secure voting.In a statement, the CEO’s office said under chief electoral officer Anurag Goel, the two districts reviewed law and order arrangements and enforcement of the model code of conduct, and that polling personnel and materials have been dispatched. Voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm.Goel appealed to eligible voters to participate and exercise their democratic right.A total of 19,02,009 voters are registered across 2,112 polling stations in the constituency, where 15 candidates are in the fray.Home voting through postal ballot for senior citizens aged 85 and above and persons with disabilities has been completed.
