A section of viewers felt the film failed to deliver despite its ambitious premise.One X review read, “#Nagabandham An Outright Tedious Watch! A film that starts with intrigue but progressively gets worse. The second half is even weaker, with outdated writing and scene staging that borders on parody. What should have been an engaging storyline turns into a tedious watch that’s hard to sit through and unbearable in many places. Apart from the artwork, set design, and bits of the music, there’s very little to appreciate. Story and VFX receive criticism
Some audience members felt that the film’s central idea had potential but was not translated effectively onto the screen.One review posted on X said, “#NagaBandham Review : Trying to show the greatness of Hindu Dharma and the struggles Hindus faced in the past is a good idea. But many films fail to present it well. Naga Bandham is another example of that. Technically, the film is decent in some parts (around 30%). However, the story is weak and couldn’t keep me interested. There are too many fight scenes, the VFX look weak in several places, and there are very few “wow” moments. Most importantly, the film doesn’t do justice to its title, Naga Bandham. ‘Nagabandham’ opens to Rs 3.25 crore on day 1
‘Nagabandham: The Secret Treasure’ has also completed its first day at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 3.25 crore in India net collections on its opening day. The earnings came from 3,202 shows across the country and recorded an overall occupancy of 22%.
