Itanagar: Union health minister JP Nadda on Thursday reviewed relief, rehabilitation and healthcare measures following cloudbursts and flash floods in Arunachal Pradesh.The meeting was attended by chief minister Pema Khandu, deputy chief minister Chowna Mein, ministers and senior officials.Nadda directed departments to intensify relief operations and ensure medical assistance to affected families. He reaffirmed the Centre’s support, saying it would coordinate with the state govt to provide financial and infrastructure assistance until normalcy was restored.Earlier, Nadda visited cloudburst-hit Possa village and NEEPCO Colony in Keyi Panyor district, which suffered extensive damage in the June 24 disaster.Accompanied by urban affairs minister Balo Raja and Yachuli MLA Toko Tatung, he was briefed by deputy commissioner Ankita Mishra about the damage, including multiple washouts on National Highway 13, which connects six districts.NEEPCO project head Munin Choudhary outlined losses at the hydroelectric plant settlement. Nadda also met displaced residents and assured them of help in rebuilding infrastructure and restoring livelihoods.
