MUMBAI: Traffic Police have announced vehicular restrictions in Vikhroli Parksite for solving the issue of traffic congestion.“Local residents, shopkeepers and office employees park vehicles on both sides of Janardan Keshav Nivalekar Marg, Road no. 1, at Vikhroli Parksite (located in the jurisdiction of Ghatkopar traffic division) making it difficult for fire brigade vehicles, ambulances and other emergency vehicles and essential services to move. Parking of vehicles is causing traffic congestion, so it is necessary to declare odd-even parking on this road on a temporary basis,” said a statement issued by the traffic police.Parking will be allowed on the left side of Janardan Keshav Nivalekar Marg, Road no. 1, (located at Jambli Naka in front of BJP office at the final BEST bus-stop for bus route no. 387) on the even dates of every month. Parking will be allowed on the right side on the odd dates of every month. Parking of all heavy vehicles will be prohibited. This restriction will be in effect from May 7 to Aug 6.
