CHANDIGARH: The State Health Agency (SHA), Punjab, has enabled the facility through the scheme’s official portal. Once a beneficiary’s photograph verification and e-KYC have been completed, the health card can be accessed online, downloaded in PDF format and either stored on a mobile phone or printed for future use.

Three steps to download the health card

Beneficiaries can locate their family record using their Family ID, Health Card Number, Mobile Number or Aadhaar Number.

  • 2. Complete OTP verification

The beneficiary must authenticate the request through OTP-based verification linked to the registered mobile/Aadhaar details.

  • 3. Download the health card

After successful authentication, the verified health card can be viewed and downloaded in PDF format. Beneficiaries can save a digital copy on their mobile phone or take a printout for future use.

e-KYC required before downloading card

Beneficiaries should ensure that their photograph-based verification and e-KYC have been completed before downloading the card. The digital process allows them to verify the updated photographs of family members and complete the required authentication before the card is generated. Merely downloading the card does not replace the mandatory beneficiary verification process.MMSY provides eligible families with cashless treatment coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh per family annually. The online card facility is aimed at making access to the scheme easier by reducing paperwork and unnecessary visits for beneficiaries who have already completed the required verification.

Card can be stored on phone or printed

Once downloaded, beneficiaries can:

  • Keep the card on their mobile phone
  • Take a printed copy for their records
  • Share copies with family members when required
  • Present the card while accessing eligible healthcare services

The digital facility gives verified beneficiaries another way to access an essential scheme document and keep it readily available when healthcare services are required.
