Gurgaon: After a brief dry spell, the city is likely to see rain again from Friday, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting light to moderate showers in parts of the district on Sept 25 and 26 and isolated rainfall on Sept 27. The southwest monsoon further withdrew from most parts of Haryana on Wednesday, with the withdrawal line now passing through Chandigarh and parts of northern India. IMD said weather in the state is likely to remain dry on Sept 23 and 24.For Gurgaon, the district-wise forecast indicates isolated light to moderate rainfall on Sept 25, followed by rain at a few places on Sept 26. Rainfall is again expected at isolated places on Sept 27. The forecast carries no weather warning for the district.The shift comes as the monsoon has now withdrawn from most of Haryana, though an upper-air cyclonic circulation over northwest Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas is among the weather systems influencing conditions over the region.The state recorded dry weather during the past 24 hours, with no significant rainfall reported. The highest maximum temperature was 35.9°C at Hisar.In Gurgaon, IMD’s observations for Sept 22 show a maximum temperature of around 34°C, while the minimum recorded at Gurgaon KVK station on Wednesday was 23.2°C.The seven-day outlook suggests that rainfall activity will remain limited, with light to moderate rain likely at a few places in Haryana on Sept 25, 26 and 27 and at isolated places on Sept 25, 28 and 29. IMD has issued no weather warning for the next seven days.
