Chandigarh: The UT police cracked a late-night snatching incident within two hours on Friday, arresting two Mohali residents and recovering all stolen belongings along with the vehicle used in the crime.The arrested accused have been identified as Manish and Ashish, both residents of Jhanjheri village in Kharar. Following their arrest, the duo was produced before a local court, which remanded them to judicial custody.The case was registered on the complaint of Roshan Tara, a resident of Maloya. According to the police, the two accused intercepted the complainant on the stretch leading from Attawa Chowk toward the ISBT Sector 43 and forcibly snatched his valuables before fleeing.Cops analysed CCTV footage along the escape route to trace and apprehend the suspects.Investigating officers seized the motorcycle used in the crime and recovered the complainant’s stolen wristwatch, CTU bus card, and ₹200 in cash from the accused.
