Panchkula: Panchkula traffic police impounded a motorcycle and issued a Rs 33,000 challan after finding it fitted with a modified silencer, flashing lights, unauthorised stickers and being driven without a number plate or valid documents.During a special checking drive, police found the rider displaying a prominent ‘Sarpanch’ sticker, along with a cobra sticker, illegal lights and a high-decibel exhaust. The rider was also allegedly without a helmet, driving licence and mandatory vehicle papers.The motorcycle was impounded and deposited at Pinjore police station.DCP Amrinder Singh said strict action would continue against illegal vehicle modifications, warning that loud exhausts, flashy lights and misleading stickers pose safety risks and violate traffic rules.
