New Delhi: A group of men allegedly went on a rampage, pelting stones at multiple houses in northeast Delhi’s Nand Nagri Thursday night. CCTV footage of the incident, which has been circulating on social media, purportedly showed more than 15-20 people pelting stones and creating a ruckus in the area.A few scooters were found to be slightly damaged. No one was injured during the incident.Locals claimed that they heard gunshots. However, analysis of CCTV footage has revealed no evidence of firing, said police.According to the complainant, Rita, 45, the attack was motivated by a family dispute. “At least 50 men, young guys, all wearing masks, came to our three houses. But we know who they were. There has been an ongoing dispute over my daughter for seven years. They pelted stones at all three houses. Thankfully, we were upstairs. If we hadn’t been there, someone could have been killed,” she said.A case was registered under relevant sections of the BNS and Arms Act. Further investigation is in progress.
