Aizawl: Mizoram CM Lalduhoma on Saturday emphasised the need to promote organic ginger cultivation and its processing, adding that his govt has been steadily progressing in that direction.Speaking at ‘Sawhthing Kut’, a ginger festival, organised by the local community in Champhai, the CM said the state govt had secured approval from the ministry of DoNER for the ‘Mizoram Ginger USP – Sustainable Cultivation & Value Chain Development Project’ worth around Rs 190 crore, of which Rs 30.13 crore has been sanctioned for setting up processing units.
