Ahmedabad: The crime branch arrested a 30-year-old man from Mehsana district for illegal possession of a foreign-made pistol worth Rs 3.1 lakh during patrolling in Naranpura late on Saturday.According to the FIR filed with Naranpura police, the accused, Sanjay Chavda, a resident of Mehsana, was intercepted near the Vrindavan Vatika Garden in Naranpura around 8pm on Saturday.On questioning, he failed to produce any valid licence or permit for the weapon.A search revealed a Colt pistol concealed in his pocket, sources said.
