Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Thursday asked Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee to approach the appropriate bench for the hearing of his plea against media trial.Banerjee’s lawyer had mentioned the matter before the single bench of Justice Krishna Rao, alleging that interrogation details were being leaked, leading to a media trial and tarnishing Banerjee’s reputation. Justice Rao opined that if it’s a matter relating to police action, it needs to be taken before the appropriate bench.
