Mumbai: The Marine Drive police have arrested a 40-year-old woman from Palghar for allegedly stealing gold and diamond ornaments worth Rs five lakh from a flat in Churchgate belonging to the parents of actors Ameesha Patel and Ashmit Patel.The accused has been identified as Seema Ghate, a resident of Palghar. Police said that Ghate was working as domestic help at the residence of Patel’s parents. The theft allegedly took place on August 20. Following a complaint filed by Patel’s mother, the police conducted a probe and took Ghate in custody.
