Chandigarh: Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday felicitated candidates from Punjab who cleared the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Examination 2025 and said “their success reflects the growing strength of Punjab’s education system and the immense potential of the state’s youth.“Interacting with them, Mann said, “Punjab’s youth are making the state proud through their remarkable achievements. These officers have cracked the prestigious UPSC examination and brought glory not only to Punjab but also to their parents. Their success reflects the immense potential of our students and the positive changes taking place in the education sector.”He said, “It is heartening to see young men and women from ordinary families securing some of the country’s most coveted positions through sheer hard work, talent and determination.”Highlighting the outstanding performance of girls in competitive exams, he called their achievements “a powerful symbol of women’s empowerment and proof that equal opportunities enable daughters to excel in every field”. “Girls have consistently outperformed in every field in Punjab and are proving their capabilities whenever they are given an opportunity,” he said.Asserting the Punjab govt was committed to educational reforms, the CM said, “The govt is continuously working to ensure quality education and equal opportunities for every child, with the dream of seeing more youngsters from Punjab rise to high and prestigious positions in public service and beyond.”Expressing hope that the newly recruited officers would use their positions to serve the people, Mann told the future officers, “Use your pen to help the needy and underprivileged sections of society. Ensure maximum welfare of the people so that every section of society benefits from your work. This is the true service of mankind, and every officer must play a meaningful role in achieving it.”
