Gurgaon: A man died during treatment on Sunday, a day after being hit by a speeding car on Golf Course Road in Sector 54. The victim, Sundar, a resident of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, was hit by a car at around 9.10am on Aug 29.According to a complaint lodged by Sundar’s brother-in-law, Ashok Kumar, at Sector 53 police station, they were on their way to work at the same company. They were standing on one side of Golf Course Road, opposite Fauji Dhaba, when a car coming at high speed from Genpact Chowk side hit Sundar.Sundar sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a govt hospital in Sector 10. He was later referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, where he died during treatment on Sunday. Police have registered a case at Sector 53 police station for rash driving and causing death by negligence. Ashok gave the cops the registration number of the car.In another incident, a man died after a truck hit his motorcycle on Pathredi-Bilaspur Road near BP Petrol Pump in Bilaspur around 8pm on Saturday. The man, Mukesh, was driving the motorcycle while his brother-in-law, Kundan (18), was riding pillion. The two were going towards Bilaspur Chowk. When they reached BP Petrol Pump, a truck coming at high speed from the Bilaspur Chowk side hit their motorcycle.The impact threw both men onto the road. Kundan suffered a minor injury on his right hand, while Mukesh sustained a head injury. The truck driver stopped, but fled the spot with the vehicle when people began gathering, Kundan said. The registration number of the truck has been given to the police.The two men were taken to a govt hospital in Sector 10, where Mukesh was declared dead. Kundan received treatment for his hand injury and was later discharged.Police have registered a case at Bilaspur police station under BNS for rash driving or riding on a public way; causing hurt or grievous hurt by a rash or negligent act; and causing death by negligence.
