Noida: A 40-year-old man, missing for the past four days, was found dead in a parking area near Bharat Petrol pump in Greater Noida’s Jalpura on Tuesday. A cause of death has not been ascertained, police said.On Sept 12, Rajiv, a mechanic who lived in New Friends Colony in Kulesra, left his home after an argument with his wife. When he never returned, his family approached cops and filed a missing persons case.On Tuesday evening, locals noticed a foul smell coming from some bushes near the petrol pump and found Rajiv’s body dumped there. They called the emergency helpline number 112, and a police team, along with forensic experts, reached the spot.Preliminary investigation suggests the man had been dead for around three days. A post-mortem examination was conducted late on Tuesday night, but a cause of death could not be established. The viscera have been preserved and will be sent for forensic analysis to determine whether any substance or other factor contributed to his death, an officer said.Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding Rajiv’s disappearance and death. Investigators are looking into all possible angles and are also trying to establish his movements between the time he left home and the discovery of his body, police said, adding that a police complaint has not been filed yet.“The investigation is underway from all possible angles,” an officer said.
