Pune: A 22-year-old daily wage worker allegedly hacked a 25-year-old man to death in Bhor taluka after spotting him with his wife on Thursday night. The accused, who fled after the murder, was arrested later that night in connection with the incident at Sarola village, about 45km from Pune.Assistant police inspector Tukaram Rathod of the Rajgad police said that the accused and the victim worked as daily wage workers at a company in Satara district. The accused is from Uttar Pradesh. “The victim was in a relationship with the accused’s wife. On Thursday night, the victim, the woman and her son had come to Sarola in Bhor taluka. The accused was following them,” Rathod said. He said that around 9pm, the accused suddenly attacked the victim with a sharp weapon. He stabbed him several times before fleeing the spot. Locals and a police team chased and nabbed the accused. “We have arrested the accused under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),” he said.
