HYDERABAD: A man was killed after an explosion in an open area in Hyderabad’s Badangpet on Sunday, with the force of the blast scattering body parts nearly 10 metres from the site, prompting a large-scale forensic investigation.The explosion occurred under the Meerpet police station limits, where police and forensic teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information.“We have reached the spot along with teams and are investigating the matter,” a police official said.Officials cordoned off the area and restricted public entry as investigators examined the scene. Forensic experts and a dog squad have been deployed to assist in the investigation.Police said they are working to ascertain the exact cause and nature of the explosion.
