A video showing the man killing the otters in Chikhli taluka of Navsari went viral
Surat: A video showing a man bludgeoning two otters to death went viral in Chikhli taluka of Navsari district. The forest department launched a probe and found that the video was shot at Kangvai village in Navsari district. The Chikhli range forest officer and his team went to the village and arrested one Gulab Halpati. He is allegedly the person seen killing the two smooth-coated otters in the video. The video had gone viral after it was posted in a certain group. The forest department produced Halpati in court. He was denied bail and was sent to Navsari sub-jail.
