Gurgaon: A 30-year-old man and his 28-year-old wife were found dead at their rented flat in M3M Marina Society in Sector 68 on Thursday, with police investigating the possibility of a murder-suicide.The man, Mohammad Aslam, was found hanging, while his wife, Farhana, was found lying on the floor with an injury mark on her neck, sources said.Aslam, originally from Kerala, worked at a private company in the city and lived in the society with his wife.Police said Aslam had emailed his company before the incident, saying he intended to die by suicide. He had also shared the contact details of his parents and landlord, asking the company to inform them. Company officials contacted the landlord, who alerted Badshahpur police station.“His colleagues informed the landlord, who entered the flat and found the bodies. The colleagues also reached his apartment. The landlord had alerted the police, and a team from Badshahpur police station reached the spot,” a police officer said.Police shifted the bodies to a mortuary for postmortem. The couple’s family members are expected to reach the city on Friday.Investigators have yet to establish the circumstances leading to the deaths, including whether Aslam killed his wife before taking his own life. The injury mark on Farhana’s neck is among the details being examined, but its cause has not yet been established.Aslam’s email to his employer is also a key part of the investigation, with police seeking to determine what prompted him to send it before the incident. The sequence of events inside the flat and the possible motive remain unclear.“No case has been registered yet. The exact reason will only be clear after the autopsy report,” they added.
