Varanasi: A 35-year-old shuttering worker died after his motorcycle skidded on a rain-soaked road near Chhitauni village on Friday morning while he was returning home after dropping his son at school, police said.The deceased was identified as Abhishek Upadhyay, a resident of Sirsa village. According to police, he routinely took his child to a school located around 3.5 km from their house.On Friday morning, Abhishek was returning home after dropping off his son when the accident occurred.Police said his motorcycle slipped on the wet road near Chhitauni village. He fell on the road and sustained severe head injuries.Eyewitnesses said he was bleeding profusely from the head. Locals informed his family members, who rushed him to a hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.Police sent the body for postmortem and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
