Gurgaon: A 42-year-old man has been detained from Malda in West Bengal after his 17-year-old stepdaughter alleged that he touched her inappropriately and behaved indecently with her at their residence last month. The detention comes two days after a case was registered. The family, originally from West Bengal, is currently residing in an area under the jurisdiction of Sector 29 police station.The accused works in a private company. The incident took place on Aug 8. The girl later told her mother about the incident, following which her mother filed a complaint. According to the complaint, the minor’s stepfather touched her with an “inappropriate intention”. The case was registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on Wednesday.
