Hyderabad: Telangana BJP in-charge Abhay Patil on Sunday hinted at major political developments in the state over the next month, saying the party would soon throw its doors open as part of efforts to strengthen the organisation ahead of the next elections.Patil, who has been tasked by BJP national president Nitin Nabin with overseeing the party’s affairs in Telangana, said “unexpected and significant political developments” would unfold in the coming weeks. He said the party was working with a clear strategy laid down by the national leadership to expand its base in the state.“People will see who joins the BJP from other parties in the coming days,” Patil said, adding that the party’s focus was on further strengthening the organisation with the aim of coming to power in Telangana.Asked about the recent meeting between senior BJP leaders Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Eatala Rajender, Patil downplayed its significance, saying there was nothing unusual about the interaction. He, however, added that the state could witness several such unexpected meetings in the days ahead.Patil said he had begun groundwork in Telangana in line with the directions issued by the party leadership and Nitin Nabin, and was working to bring leaders together and bolster the BJP’s prospects in the state.
