Navi Mumbai: The state Director General of Police (DGP) Sadanand Date has directed the police commissioner of Navi Mumbai Milind Bharambe to submit a report on a complaint against pastor Vishal Moreshwar for making misleading statements in a video.The March 8 complaint by BJP activist and advocate Sanjay Singh stated that in the video Moreshwar said that he has visited 79 countries where he has had 40,000 Gospel meetings. Further claiming that he is the only person who was given the privilege and honour of sharing the Gospel in the White House, Pentagon and the US Senate. He even claimed that on Sept 23, 2024, he attended a meeting in New York along with PM Narendra Modi, which appears to be another lie. Similar complaint was emailed on March 14 by BJP’s Minorities Morcha, Thane City, Vice-president Azim Khan DCP (zone-1) Pankaj Dahane said, “As per the email received from police commissioner’s office, an inquiry has been initiated into the said complaint. Accordingly, the inquiry report will be sent to the higher authorities.”
