During those difficult times, I wasn’t there. I couldn’t focus properly because my people were in such a dire situation. Seeing the people of my own district in that state made me feel terrible, so I want to dedicate this to the people of Assam.”Lovlina, who is in Glasgow, on July 28 wrote on her X handle, “People of Assam are badly affected by the flood situation in the state. I would like to appeal to every fellow Indian to kindly come forward and help us. I am currently participating in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, but my heart is with my people and my state.”The floods devastated Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat districts in upper Assam on July 19, leaving lakhs of people homeless.
