KTR Says KCR’s Return as Telangana CM is Certain

Hyderabad: Claiming that people from all sections of society who feel betrayed by the Congress govt are now looking towards the BRS, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao is certain to return to power in Telangana. Addressing a party meeting, KTR said KCR would once again play a significant role not only in Telangana politics but also at the national level. He said that four years ago, KCR’s call for a non-Congress, non-BJP parties alliance was not fully understood by many, but current political developments have made people realize the relevance of his vision.KTR said that KCR remains the only leader capable of providing effective leadership for Telangana and claimed that growing public dissatisfaction with both national parties would ultimately benefit the BRS politically.Speaking at party workers meeting at Amberpet on Friday, KTR criticized both the BJP and the Congress, alleging that the BJP has pushed the country into a crisis while the Congress has failed to provide a credible alternative agenda. “The weakness of the Congress at the national level has created space for new political movements and growing dissatisfaction among young people. Despite repeated efforts, the Congress party has been unable to strengthen its position. The Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has failed to emerge as an effective opposition leader against the BJP,” he said. The BRS leader alleged that Congress and BJP leaders in Telangana are working together and are more focused on criticizing KCR and the BRS leadership than addressing issues affecting the state. He said that public support for the BRS is steadily increasing and expressed confidence that the party would make a strong comeback in the future. He asserted that public dissatisfaction with the ruling party was growing across the state and predicted a strong political resurgence for the BRS in the coming years. The BRS leader alleged that the Congress govt in Telangana had failed to address key issues such as power supply, drinking water shortages and the challenges faced by farmers. “The state’s agricultural sector was facing difficulties while several welfare promises made to students, unemployed youth and other sections of society remained unfulfilled,” he said.KTR accused the Congress govt of mishandling the state’s water resources and failing to take adequate precautionary measures despite warnings regarding the El Niño effect. He claimed that neighbouring states had taken timely steps to safeguard water availability, while Telangana had failed to fill its reservoirs and projects in advance.Referring to the Kaleshwaram project, KTR alleged that political considerations influenced decisions related to its operation. He further accused both the Congress and BJP of joining hands to target KCR and the BRS rather than focusing on Telangana’s interests.KTR expressed confidence that the BRS would perform strongly if local body and corporation elections were held, citing the party’s past electoral successes. He urged party leaders and workers to work collectively from voter registration to polling day in the upcoming graduate constituency MLC elections.Claiming that the Congress was relying primarily on financial strength in the MLC elections, KTR said graduates, students and unemployed youth would hold the ruling party accountable for what he termed unfulfilled promises. He also reiterated that public anger against the state govt was increasing and asserted that people were eagerly waiting for an opportunity to vote for KCR again. The BRS leader maintained that the party remained the strongest political alternative in Telangana and would continue its campaign against the Congress govt‘s policies.ends/
