Knife-wielding gang attacks college student
Chennai: A 19-year-old student of Presidency College suffered multiple injuries after he was attacked by a group of five men armed with knives near the college campus. Police said the victim, Kumar of Tiruvallur district, is a second-year BA Economics student. He was at a food stall when five bike-borne men arrived and attacked him with knives before fleeing, the police said. Kumar was rushed to Govt Stanley Medical College Hospital. Marina police registered a case. Police are analysing CCTV footage from the locality to identify the five suspects.
