Kishan Reddy slams Revanth, KTR on paper leaks

Hyderabad: Union coal minister G Kishan Reddy on Thursday questioned chief minister A Revanth Reddy over examination paper leaks during his tenure and asked why he did not resign after the SSC paper leak in 2025. He also targeted BRS working president KT Rama Rao over paper leaks in recruitment examinations during the previous BRS regime.Addressing a press conference, Kishan Reddy accused Congress and Left parties of politicising the NEET paper leak issue and using student protests to create unrest. He alleged that anti-national elements had infiltrated the protests and claimed the opposition was attempting to exploit the issue for political gains instead of participating in discussions on examination reforms. The Union minister said the Centre acted immediately after the NEET paper leak came to light by arresting 17 accused and re-conducting the examination with enhanced security arrangements. He said the BJP-led govt had strengthened the legal framework through the Public Examinations Act and maintained a zero-tolerance policy towards paper leaks, adding that those responsible would face stringent punishment.Kishan Reddy also questioned Congress over its promise to fill two lakh govt jobs in Telangana and asked whether the commitments made to the unemployed youth ahead of the 2023 assembly elections had been fulfilled. He said the Centre remained committed to protecting students’ interests and invited the opposition to participate in a comprehensive discussion in Parliament on examination reforms instead of indulging in politics.
