Kolkata: While a huge number of films have been submitted for the competitive section of the 32nd Kolkata International Film Festival till Saturday, some filmmakers still couldn’t access the website.Director Rezwan Shahriar Sumit from Bangladesh faced issues while trying to submit his film ‘Master’. “I tried the website many times. But it did not load,” said Sumit. When the matter was raised with a member of the festival committee, he forwarded this message: “The difficulty accessing the KIFF website and submission portal is due to a technical issue with the State Data Centre. We expect www.kiff.in to be restored shortly. Meanwhile, please send the film details, technical information and preview/screener link (with password, if applicable), along with your preferred section, to print@kff.in We can facilitate the submission on your behalf. The submission deadline is Sept 20. In view of the technical difficulties, we are also looking into the possibility of extending the deadline.” On Saturday eve, Sumit made an “email submission”.Official confirmation is awaited on extending the submission deadline.
