Varanasi: Family members experienced 24 hours of panic as three children, after attending school in Mughalsarai area of Chandauli district, did not return home and instead boarded a bus to reach their maternal grandparents’ home in Ghazipur on Monday.Chandauli CO (PDDU Nagar) Arun Kumar Singh said that with the help of Ghazipur Kotwali police, all three children were traced and brought back to Chandauli on Tuesday.Natives of Nai Basti Circus Road under Mughalsarai police station, the children study at St Xavier School in Bechupur. After school hours, they did not return home till late afternoon, after which their family members started searching for them. On failing to trace their children, they reported the matter to police.Footage of CCTV installed on different routes was checked and the police CO said that in some footage, the children were seen heading towards the bus stand from where buses leave for Ghazipur. Police in the neighbouring district were alerted. Finally, Kotwali police in Ghazipur found them. When police questioned the children about the detour, they said their father is an alcoholic and quarrelled frequently with their mother, so they went to maternal grandfather’s house. Police warned the parents and advised them to maintain peace at home for well-being of their children.
