Varanasi: A team of UP ministers, BJP office-bearers, and officials from the district administration and Varanasi Municipal Corporation reviewed arrangements at the Rudraksh Convention Centre on Monday ahead of chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s likely visit to the city to attend events proposed on the birthday of local MP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sept 17.During the inspection, senior leaders and officials took stock of preparations at the venue and sought updates from the departments concerned. Key areas reviewed included security, traffic management, cleanliness, power supply, stage readiness, auditorium arrangements, visitor movement, entry and exit plans, and other logistical requirements.Officials were directed to complete all arrangements within the stipulated time and ensure that visitors face no inconvenience during the programme. Emphasis was placed on close coordination among departments, with security and public convenience identified as top priorities.Those present during the inspection included UP ministers JPS Rathore and Hansraj Vishwakarma, senior BJP leader Dilip Patel, Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari, District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar and Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal.The review focused on ensuring a smooth, secure and well-coordinated programme at the convention centre. Departments were asked to keep response teams ready for prompt support throughout the event.
