Lucknow: Journalist and YouTuber Pragya Mishra on Thursday alleged that her sister, ICICI Bank deputy manager Divya Mishra, was stalked by her husband Manas Bajpai before being shot dead outside the ICICI Bank branch in Gomtinagar.In a post on X, Pragya shared an image showing multiple injuries and said Divya had been living separately from Bajpai due to ongoing marital problems. She wrote that Divya reached her workplace around 9am as usual and later stepped out with a colleague to collect a cheque.Pragya alleged that Bajpai followed Divya, conducted a recce in the area and arrived near the bank in an autorickshaw carrying two revolvers. According to her account, he opened fire near the bank gate, then assaulted Divya by striking her repeatedly on the face and head with the butt of a revolver before firing again.She claimed people nearby fled in panic during the attack. In the post, Pragya described the wounds as severe, alleging there were large gunshot injuries on Divya’s forehead.Pragya also wrote about informing their family, saying she struggled to call their mother and expressed disbelief over her sister’s death. She referred to Divya as simple and mentioned a planned visit to Purnagiri.Police have not issued a detailed public statement in Pragya’s post, and her allegations were made on social media while the case is under investigation.
