Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation’s (JMC) vigilance branch carried out a drive against encroachments at several locations across the city Wednesday. Authorities seized four truckloads of goods and collected Rs 2,000 as carrying charges from violators.The drive covered Shiv Residency in Narayan Vihar, Swarnpath in Mansarovar, 7 Number Puliya on Mahal Road and Karolon Ka Bagh in Jagatpura.Officials said the seized goods were transported to the corporation’s warehouse. Encroachers were also counselled and warned against reoccupying public spaces. They were directed to remove encroachments voluntarily in future, failing which strict enforcement action and heavy penalties would be imposed, officials said.
