Jaipur: Formidable Jaipur district bagged twin titles in the 45th Rajasthan Sub-Junior (U-17 boys and girls) State Shootingball Championship held recently at Veena Bharti Senior Secondary School, Sursagar, Jodhpur.The chief guests at the inauguration of this three-day tournament were Rajasthan Shootingball Association president Dayanand Upadhyay and general secretary Dr OP Machra.On this occasion, Rajasthan Shootingball Association’s technical chairman Ajay Oberoi, Vice President Shakki Mohammad, Joint Secretary Altaf Hussain, Sunil Bainsla, Sangram Singh, Keshar Singh, RP Sherawat and Devkinandan Sharma were present.The competition was inaugurated on May 1 evening at the school playground, matches were played from 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 11 pm under floodlights.National Vice President Dr OP Machra was the chief guest of the closing ceremony. The final match was completed after 10 pm in which Jaipur won the title by defeating Ganganagar 21-19, 21-16.Ganganagar came second and Bhilwara came third. Jaipur’s center player Khushal Sherawat and Ganganagar’s player Ahsay were brilliant.In the girls category, Jaipur won the title beating Ajmer 21-12, 21-18. Bhilwara finished third.Kishna and Chanchal Jangir of Jaipur displayed a strong game. Tonk’s emerging player Ayush was the center of attraction and Rajasthan Shooting Ball Association encouraged him by giving him a prize.Rajasthan Shooting Ball Association appointed Sunil Bainsla as tournament observer and Keshar Singh Balla as stage coordinator, RP Sherawat for document verification and Sangram Singh for selection.The winning teams were awarded cash prizes, trophies, medals and mementos by President Dayanand Upadhyay and General Secretary Dr OP Machra.Dr OP Machra, General Secretary of Rajasthan Shootingball Association, congratulated and thanked Jodhpur District Shootingball Association and Organizing Secretary Bhura Ram Chaudhary for organizing a good tournament and providing food and accommodation facilities.Chief Patron of Rajasthan Shootingball Association and Director of KogniVera IT Company, Kamlesh Sharma congratulated and wished all the winning teams.
