Jain community organizes silent rally seeking safety
The Sakal Jain Samaj in Kolkata organized a massive silent rally on Saturday. The protest was triggered by a horrific hit-and-run incident in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, which resulted in the deaths of two Jain sadhvis (nuns) while they were on a religious walking pilgrimage (Vihar). The community suspects the incident may involve a larger conspiracy rather than being a standard traffic. Pix:- Biplab Bhattacharjee

The silent procession started from Bada Mandir and proceeded through Satyanarayan Park, M G Road, Brabourne Road, Bentinck Street, and Esplanade before culminating at a public gathering at Dharmatala.
