HYDERABAD: A local court in Rajendranagar reserved its order on a plea seeking extension of police custody of trainee IPS officer accused in a rape case.The court also directed the station house officer of Attapur Police station, where the accused was interrogated for two days during the earlier remand, to furnish CCTV footage from the station covering the custody period, along with a written explanation in response to a show-cause notice over the alleged violation of remand conditions.During the hearing, the prosecution argued that it required two additional days of custody to recover the accused’s iPhone.The prosecution also sought the extended custody period to conduct a potency test on the accused.The defence counsel opposed both the extension of custody and the potency test. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court reserved its judgment, with the order expected on Aug 14.The court directed the SHO to submit both the CCTV footage and a written explanation addressing these allegations on or before Aug 14.
