Lucknow: Part-time instructors on Sunday hailed chief minister Yogi Adityanath for increasing their honorarium to Rs 17,000 from the earlier Rs 9,000.Shikha Singh from Rae Bareli, who received the cheque from the CM, said that the state govt has resolved the financial problem of part-time instructors, and the increased honorarium would help families lead a better life.Kaushlendra Chauhan from Lucknow expressed gratitude not only for getting an increased monthly payout but also for the cashless medical facility that covers the treatment cost of instructors as long as the hospital bill is under Rs 5 lakh.Upendra Shukla from Ayodhya said that organising the grand felicitation ceremony to honour the recognition of the teachers was a positive step.Deepti Verma from Barabanki, Praveen Rana from Lakhimpur Kheri, and Rashmi Yadav from Unnao were among the instructors who were felicitated on the occasion.Basic education minister (independent) Sandeep Singh said that the 9,645 instructors were working as health and physical education instructors, among other activities, while 6,192 others were teaching students. Digital libraries and modernisation of the school buildings were also being done at a rapid scale in the state, the minister added.
