Shillong: Meghalay chief minister Conrad K Sangma has emphasised a long-term vision of positioning Shillong as a regional hub for IT services, innovation, and AI-led governance solutions, supported by infrastructure development, improved connectivity, and integrated ecosystem planning.Industry leaders committed to providing continued guidance and implementation support to the CM’s proposal during the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) Industry Leaders’ Meet 2026, held at the State Convention Centre, Shillong on Thursday.Organized by the IT & communications department, Meghalaya govt, in collaboration with NASSCOM, the event brought together industry leaders, technology companies, and senior officials to deliberate on strengthening Meghalaya’s position in the digital economy, expanding IT-enabled services, and and employment opportunities for local youth.
