NEW DELHI: “It’s a fight for the future of us Gen-Zs! Incredibly proud of my generation,” CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said on Saturday ahead of the CJP’s Jantar Mantar 2.0 protest, calling for people to unite to protect democracy and reclaim the country. In a post on X, Das said, “It’s a fight to reclaim our country! It’s a fight to save our democracy! It’s a fight for the future of us Gen-Zs!”He expressed pride in his generation and urged people to join the protest at Jantar Mantar.“Incredibly proud of my generation. We will fight till we ensure a corruption-free system. See you all in and around Jantar Mantar in a few hours! It’s a long fight,” he added.Earlier in the day, Das alleged that Delhi Police had leaked his phone number while circulating documents related to the party’s previous protest and its latest letter denying permission for the proposed demonstration at Jantar Mantar. He said he had received more than 300 calls and numerous WhatsApp messages within an hour.In another post on X, Das said, “As part of what appears to be a coordinated campaign, my phone number has been leaked, and I have been bombarded with relentless phone calls (300+ and counting) and WhatsApp messages over the past hour alone”.He alleged that his number was exposed when Delhi Police circulated the undertaking form from the party’s previous protest and its latest letter denying permission for the gathering.Criticising media organisations for sharing the documents without concealing his number, Das said, “Special thanks to the ever-compliant media organisations, specifically an infamous agency I’m told, that couldn’t be bothered to redact my number before breathlessly circulating these documents on social media, as though they laid their hands on the Pentagon Papers!”
