Pune: Officials from Pune’s income tax (investigation) department participated in a cleanliness drive at Sarasbaug Siddhivinayak Temple on Saturday as part of Central govt’s Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The temple premises were cleaned, followed by aarti.Sudhir Pandit, chief trustee of the temple, briefed officials about the history and activities of Shri Devdeveshwar Sansthan, which manages the temple, while trustee Jagannath Ladkat proposed the vote of thanks at the end.Sarasbaug Siddhivinayak Temple is among Pune’s prominent religious landmarks and draws devotees throughout the year. The participation of senior officials and departmental staff aimed to reinforce the campaign’s message of cleanliness as a shared responsibility.The department’s principal director Manish Kanojia, additional directors Ganesh Rakh, Minal Kamble, joint director Vishwajit Shinde, other officials and staff took part in the initiative.
